Eternity’s End

7 Comments

If that star
which grants light and life
should fail the east horizon;
no more mount the waiting sky
of a deepening blue-green world-

And in mourning collapse
cobalt heavens without sound
on a dawn-less shore?

Then all that remains
is this candle,
this flame,
forever afire
for you.

  1. Beautiful, that last stanza was just gorgeous.

  2. Oh my I feel the romantic love in this poem and it is beautiful. I guess you could say it is cosmic love. Would we all be so lucky to have it.

    Thanks for sharing this with us for this weeks Theme Thursday and giving us some food for thought. May your week be filled with stargazing and handholding while watching the sunrise or sunset.

    God bless.

  3. so loving, I like your stile.
